ten years anniversary

On Sunday, we had our party for our 10 years wedding anniversary.
Francois, Isabelle, Claire and Bella made all of the foods. I did bake the bread and Eddie brought some great Libanon grape honey.

We had all a good time. Here are some of the photos.

Steamer Lane by sunset

Before going to the Pizza place, we stopped by Steamer Lane to watch the sun set.

One wheel bike is a lot of work.

who need to travel to Key West, to watch beautiful sunset.

Benoit always on motion.

The surf museum, light house.

Davenport hike

Since we had no more wafles no breads, we went to get our breakfast at Davenport bakery.

They must like French :)

Family Rouchy

Croissants like home.

Chocolat eclair.

After the breakfast, we headed to the Rancho Del Oso state park near Waddle creek.

Looking at the trails.

Nice flowers (that are not roses but I can't quit put a name on it).

It does look like a jungle.

After a long hike, you get the reward with that nice view.

Bernie's house

On Saturday night, Isabelle and Francois invited us for the dinner at Bernie's house.
We had a good time with the great foods and breads.

Walnuts and Raisin Breads.

Benoit is relaxing...

Mike Fox skatepark

Just before we went to the futur Mike Fox skate park at Santa Cruz, I spotted some wild live in our garden.

The squirrel likes the "rose tremiere".

Squirrels are good climber.

Hummingbirds are just so fast that even the fastest lens can't quite stop their motion.

River street bridge with the thick fog rolling in and the sun setting. What a contrast.

Benoit while fooling around sticked his foot in the hole and fell on the ciment. He got some bruises and cuts.

Lucas and Benoit posing in front of the full pipe at the future Mike Fox skate park at Santa Cruz.
The skate park is supposed to open in fall.

Whales watching - part 3

While we were at Moss Landing, we decided to eat at Phil's fish market restaurant. They serve all kind of fishes and crabs.

When is too many options too many?

Claire must be very hungry.

Benoit has recovered.

Whales watching - part 2

After leaving the harbor, we headed west to the ocean. We spotted a whale just few hundred yards from the beach. Since several whale watching boats are roaming the Monterey bay, they communicate by radio the spotting so everyone can enjoy.

Bernie is ready :)

Benoit is still OK but for how long?

First whale.

Francois seems very relax.

Lucas is looking not too good...

and Benoit is now sick.

Second whale.

Bernie and Franck.

Derek must be happy with its 400mm lens.

Third whale which has been around for at least 3 years.

Lucas is doing just fine...

while Benoit tries to recover.

A bunch of dolphins, probably 100 of them.

We got a new captain. I guess, he does not need a driving permit. Note: Lucas has still his lift chair ticket from the last winter ski season.

Lucas is following the instructor directions.
