Waddell Creek Double Sunset

Another spectacular sunset at Waddell Creek, where the sun was cut in half by the cloud.

Only one brave surfer was surfing the sharky Waddell creek waves.

Surfer magazine picks Santa Cruz as top spot to surf

Yes, Santa Cruz is the top US spot to surf. Not a surprise, with the variety of beaches and point breaks that can be found. Tonight, the wind was dead and the waves glassy. I was too late for the surf but just in time to take that nice sunset at Waddell creek a few miles north of Santa Cruz.

The blue whale skeleton can be found at the Marine center just a few miles from our house. The weather patterns have been really strange lately. A large storm with thunder light strike us. I am pretty stoked that I could snap that picture which is a bit dramatic with those dark clouds.
